Specialist Prosthodontics now has two locations: South-east Brisbane and South-east Melbourne.

Located 12km south-east of Brisbane CBD, Specialist Prosthodontics is the original practice started by Dr Jamie Foong in 2013 which is now part of a larger multi-disciplinary dental specialist centre. We have 3 specialist prosthodontists working at this location: Dr Jamie Foong, Dr Himanshu Arora, and Dr Thanh (Justin) Le.

Melbourne (Glen Iris, VIC)

Located 7km south-east of Melbourne CBD, Specialist Prosthodontics has now expanded to Melbourne. Based at the classic Edwardian style “Coliban” centre for dental excellence (Link to be provided), Melbourne patients are now able to consult with Jamie at this location. There are 3 specialist prosthodontists working at this location and they work together closely with other dental specialists in the area when required.

Dr Jamie Foong

Brisbane/Melbourne Clinics

Dr Jamie Foong completed his undergraduate dental degree at the University of Melbourne and worked as a general practitioner in a Brisbane CBD prosthodontic and general practice for several years. He returned to Melbourne to complete a specialist degree in Prosthodontics and as part of his thesis for his doctorate, he investigated the mechanical properties of zirconia and titanium implant abutments. Jamie worked in Melbourne CBD for several years and returned to Brisbane to open Specialist Prosthodontics. He saw the benefit of a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and works closely with many specialists in Brisbane to deliver the best dental care for patients. Jamie has a keen interest in digital technology, implant-supported restorations and ceramics.

Jamie is involved in teaching at several Australian dental schools (University of Queensland, University of Melbourne) as a visiting lecturer and clinical supervisor.

He is a member of the Academy of Australian and New Zealand of Prosthodontists, the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Prosthodontic Society, and a fellow of the Academy of Dentists International. Jamie is a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Ivoclar Vivadent, Kuraray, 3 Shape and Straumann.

Dr Himanshu Arora

Brisbane Clinic

Dr Himanshu Arora completed his training as a dentist and a prosthodontist in India in 2005 and 2009. Himanshu moved to Australia in 2013 and completed a PhD degree from Griffith University where he investigated the aesthetic outcomes of dental implants placed in the anterior region of the mouth. After completion of his PhD research, Himanshu was awarded a fellowship by the International team for Implantology and spent a year as a clinical fellow at the University of Florida in Gainesville, USA. Himanshu completed his specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Queensland where he is currently working as an academic and combines this role with part time practice at Specialist Prosthodontics.

Himanshu has interest in implant prosthodontics, digital technologies and conventional prosthodontics. He is a member of the Australian Prosthodontic Society, the International Team for Implantology and the International Association of Dental Research.

Dr Thanh (Justin) Le

Dr Justin Le is a Specialist Prosthodontist with an interest in aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry. He completed his general dental degree in 2017 from The University of Queensland. After working as a general dentist for several years, he returned to his alma mater to complete his specialist degree in Prosthodontics.

Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Justin combines technical expertise with a creative approach to deliver personalised treatment plans for complex dental challenges. He finds great fulfilment in guiding patients through their rehabilitation, often collaborating with other specialists to achieve exceptional results.
